24HOURS – A celebration of art and time

13 Settembre, 2025 @ 14:00 - 14 Settembre, 2025 @ 14:00
INGRESSO LIBERO

Lower Ground Floor

WILHALM (Curon) – Sven Sachsalber

14:00-14:00

Since 2021, Museion has been exploring the work of South Tyrolean artist Sven Sachsalber. WILHALM (Curon) presents one of his performances: for 24 hours, he circles the sunken church tower of Curon in a coffin turned into a canoe.

A Lot of Sorrow – Ragnar Kjartansson

14:00-20:00

08:00-14:00

The video A Lot of Sorrow by Ragnar Kjartansson was created with the band The National. It shows a six-hour concert in which the song Sorrow is played repeatedly, turning repetition into a meditative experience.

Istituto Centrale per il Restauro

14:00-18:00

Since 2019, Museion has collaborated with the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro. This educational project focuses on restoring and studying the collection. During the event, the students’ workshop can be visited and observed up close.

Elementare – Collettivo Amigdala

00:00-06:30

With the performance Elementare, singing, silence, and listening merge into an intense collective experience. Six voices guide through the darkness, turning words and echoes into a resonant space – a chant that becomes a prayer. This event has limited capacity, you can register here.

Ground Floor

Stories from the collection: Henry Martin & Dick Higgins

17:00-19:00

The book presentation, with the authors in attendance, introduces two new publications related to the Museion collection: Henry Martin: an active ear, edited by Emanuele Guidi, and Dick Higgins. Intermedia e altri scritti teorici, edited by Patrizio Peterlini.

Celebration

19:00-21:00

This festive moment marks the highlight of the anniversaries: 40 years of Museion and 25 years of Transart. Together, we toast with a drink inspired by the exhibition You and the Night and the Music, accompanied by a buffet and cake.

Making Show – Geumhyung Jeong

14:00-14:00

In Making Show, the internationally emerging performance artist Geumhyung Jeong brings one of her earlier robot models back to life in front of the audience – a gripping interplay of art, technology, and performance.

You and the Night and the Music – Francesco Conz Editions from the Museion Collection

14:00-00:00

07:00-14:00

The exhibition presents art editions by Francesco Conz from the museum’s collection. Active between Fluxus, Visual and Concrete Poetry, he was an untiring driving force, an instigator in South Tyrol as well, who sparked creativity and made artistic innovation possible.

Keyhole Mouth – Silvia Costa/Claudio Rocchetti

(Xong Collection – artist records, Xing 2025)

21:00-23:00

The sound performance Keyhole Mouth by Silvia Costa and Claudio Rocchetti combines barely audible words with sound trails of actions, movements, footsteps: gestures that no one has seen and of which only an auditory memory remains. The result is concrete music, in a live improvisation with analog devices, Walkmans, and turntables. Frequencies and dust from another world, to be spied on with the ear instead of the eye, through the keyhole.

COSMIC SILENCE 5, fluorescence 4 – Margherita Morgantin/Beatrice Goldoni/Ilaria Lemmo

(Xong Collection – artist records, Xing 2022)

11:00-13:00
11:00 a.m. installation
12:15 p.m. live

The sound performance COSMIC SILENCE 5, fluorescence 4 is the result of the interaction between artist Margherita Morgantin and musicians Beatrice Goldoni and Ilaria Lemmo. Lemmo’s ambient diffusion translates data from rare phenomena and nuclear physical events into sound, while Goldoni’s live performance reworks the road noise recordings made during Morgantin’s solitary car journey. Two works by Morgantin (a video and a wind indicator) connect the internal and external spaces, refining a process of attunement and sensory listening in the present moment.

2nd Floor

Museion Art Club – URBAN BRIDGE

14:00-14:00

With the Museion Art Club – URBAN BRIDGE, the second floor of Museion is transformed into an urban landscape where skating, graffiti, and music come together. In collaboration with Murarte, Sk8project and the exhibition Graffiti, this space becomes a site for spontaneous connections and unexpected perspectives.

Personal Care Room

14:00-16:00 Sexologist Miriam Pobitzer

18:00-21:00 Hairdresser Walli Stecher & Barber Otmane Karym

22:00-02:00 Tattoo Artist Demooni Tattoo

07:00-09:00 Yoga Instructor Antinea Pasinato

10:00-14:00 Feng-Shui Practitioner Martina Pellegrini

The Personal Care Room is a space for well-being – an intimate, shared place where the museum opens itself to the community.

3rd/4th Floor

Graffiti

14:00-00:00

07:00-14:00

The exhibition Graffiti explores the intersections between graffiti and contemporary art, showing how the use of the spray can has shaped artistic practices since the 1950s. Graffiti emerges here as a way of seeing urban landscapes – with their diverse visual languages and non-violent forms of resistance.

Atelier

Perfect Day – Marino Formenti

14:00-14:00

In Perfect Day, the pianist Marino Formenti spends 24 hours inside Museion. He never leaves the space, bringing only some food and a mechanical piano. With this, he performs various scores, questions and recreates them anew.

Show Show Risciò – La Banda Storta

18:50-19:10

The performance Show Show Risciò by Banda Storta takes a clumsy fanfare on a journey with their rickshaw. Brass and woodwind instruments play Balkan and Latin themes, shifting between festive euphoria and melancholic tones. A performance that celebrates the “festival” — the very reason for this traveling band’s existence.
